The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is putting on its hard hat and getting ready to begin construction of its famous 1.8 mile, 14-turn street course.
Media are invited to join representatives from the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on Thursday, February 10 for a photo opportunity of the track build. The first block will be installed on Bay Shore Drive NE and 1st Avenue SE, by the Demens Landing Park access road.
The photo op will mark the beginning of a 44-day construction process that will see workers put up 20,000 feet of steel-reinforced concrete barriers and 44,000 feet of chain-link fencing along the 14-turn 1.8 mile temporary course.ON SITE: Tim Ramsberger, Vice-President and General Manager for Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg
