ST. PETERSBURG, FL, October 18, 2013 – World-class championship racing returns to St. Petersburg, Florida, March 28-30, with the tenth running of the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. For the fourth consecutive year, the event will begin the IndyCar Series season and promises to deliver as much off-track excitement as it will on the track.

“Ten years of exciting auto racing and exhilarating race weekends is worth celebrating,” said Tim Ramsberger, President of the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. “The event just keeps getting better and better. The support we’ve received from the community is tremendous and has allowed us to grow year after year. We look forward to writing a new page in this event's history and welcoming race fans from around the world to mark this milestone and showcase the best in racing for another year.”

Billed as "the world’s fastest spring break party", the event will also feature the Pirelli World Challenge, which is also celebrating a milestone - its 25th anniversary, as well as the Pro Mazda and USF2000 Championships. The complete schedule and details on other participating series will be announced in the up-coming months.

“St. Petersburg has been a great host city for all of us, and the weather is beautiful,” said Mario Andretti, a living legend from the world of Indy car racing. “Everybody is coming from all different parts of the country. And we enjoy it every year more.”

“St. Pete is definitely an incredible place,” said Helio Castroneves, a three-time winner of the event.
