ST. PETERSBURG, FL, December 17, 2013 -- In exactly 100 days, gates to the 2014 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, taking place March 28-30, 2014, will open.  As we count the days until the start of the 10th edition of the first-class festival, here are some high-level event updates.

Tickets on sale just in time for the holidays
Three-day tickets to the 2014 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg are now on sale and make the perfect holiday gift for any race fan. The waterfront street course will serve as the opening race for the IndyCar Series season, reaffirming its status as one of the premier racing circuits in North America.

Three-day tickets to the race start at $55 for General Admission and $105 for Reserved Seating (tax included). Race fans renewing their three-day reserved tickets purchased before January 15 will also receive a free weekend IndyCar Paddock Pass (a $65 value).

New logo in the works
A new name calls for a new event logo. Green Savoree St. Petersburg is working closely with its new title sponsor, Firestone, on the creation of a new logo for the annual festival, which will be officially unveiled early in the New Year.

The Yacht Club returns to St. Petersburg with the best view in town
The exclusive experience of watching a world-class auto race from the comfort of a private yacht returns to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The Yacht Club, a truly unique viewing point at one of North America's best racing events, will offer slip-holders an unmatched experience.

Tim Ramsberger selected as Honorary Commander for MacDill Air Force Base
Tim Ramsberger, President of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, has been selected as an Honorary Commander for MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. Ramsberger was inducted into the two-year program during a recent ceremony alongside 26 civic leaders that were chosen for their active role in the Tampa Bay area community. "It is truly an honor and privilege to have been selected and to participate in this program," said Ramsberger following the ceremony at the base in late November. He is paired with the 310th Airlift Squadron, under the command of Lt. Col. Derrick Hodges.
