Record Number of Entries Set for IndyCar Series Event in Homestead
We're still about a week away from an initial entry list for this year's Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, but if the IndyCar Series event set for this weekend in Homestead, Florida is any indication, we will probably see an increase in the number of IndyCars taking the grid for the 4th annual Honda Indy St. Pete.  The Homestead entry list includes 26 cars, which is the largest entry field for a non-Indianapolis 500 race since April 2003 at Motegi. Last year, 18 cars took the green flag for the Sunday IndyCar Series race in St. Petersburg.

Bright House Speed Zone Has Fun for Everyone
Throughout race weekend at this year's Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg a wide range of family-based activities will be taking place in the Bright House Speed Zone. Located near Al Lang Field, the Speed Zone will have several activities for racing fans of all ages, including racing simulators, face painting for the kids, a rock climbing wall and a Euro bungee jumper.  On Saturday afternoon, April 4, from 3:45 p .m. until 4:45 p.m., drivers from the IndyCar Series will be available for autographs.

American Le Mans Series Drivers David Brabham and Oliver Gavin Featured in Driver Chat
David Brabham, part of the new Patron Highcroft Racing entry in this year's Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg and Corvette driver Oliver Gavin, will be the featured drivers for a public Driver Chat set for Thursday, April 3.  Brabham and Oliver will provide racing fans with an insider's look at the American Le Mans Series in an event open to the public.  Joining the drivers will be Jim Tasel, owner of Tasel Racing.  Tasel was part of the ownership group of 2007 Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense. The event will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 3 and will be held on the stage at North Straub Park along Bayshore Drive in downtown St. Petersburg.
