Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Driver Danica Patrick Featured
In Annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue
ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. (Feb. 12, 2008) --- When Danica Patrick comes to town to race in the 2008 Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, April 4-6, she will have added to her impressive resume, as the driver of the No. 7 Motorola car for Andretti Green Racing is featured in a four-page spread in the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, which hits newsstands around the nation this week.
The IndyCar Series driver graces the pages of the annual swimsuit issue, following a trend of the magazine featuring athletes and entertainers in the issue. More than 69 million people are expected to read the special issue while more than 250 million people are expected to view photo galleries on the magazine's website. Patrick was photographed this past fall at Singer Island, Fla.
The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, the first street-circuit race on the 2008 IndyCar Series schedule, will be run on a 1.8-mile, 14-turn course through the streets of St. Petersburg on Sunday, April 6. Qualifying and practice sessions for the inaugural event will be held Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5. The second running of the Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg on the American Le Mans Series gets under way at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 5.
