GRAMMY-NOMINATED HOOBASTANK TO ROCK FANS AT HONDA GRAND PRIX OF ST. PETERSBURG

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (March 21, 2006) -As a part of the post-race activities for the 2006 Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on April 2, XM Satellite Radio will present a concert by Grammy-nominated Hoobastank. The concert, included with race day admission for Sunday, April 2, will begin 30 minutes after the race is finished at approximately 6 p.m. on the XM Satellite Radio stage at Honda Plaza, within the race circuit. XM Radio, America's number one satellite radio service, is a corporate partner of the Honda Grand Prix for the second consecutive year in 2006.

“We are thrilled to offer so many entertainment activities to fans throughout the weekend. With the help of XM, the Hoobastank concert will be a fitting finale to what we know will be an entertaining event for anyone that is here,”said Tim Ramsberger, vice president, Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and Andretti Green Promotions. “In addition to the main event - exciting IndyCar racing - we'll feature activities that fans of all ages will enjoy.”

The Island Records recording quartet Hoobastank hails from the Los Angeles, Calif., suburb of Agoura Hills. Formed in 1994, the band features vocalist Doug Robb, guitarist Dan Estriin, bassist Markku Lappalainen and drummer Chris Hesse.

Hoobastank delivered one of the true phenoms of rock's last two years with The Reason. The title hit, “The Reason,” 2004's longest-running rock single inside the Hot 100, was nominated for Grammy awards as Song of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.

The band's latest album, Every Man For Himself, which will hit stores May 16, is already creating a buzz with its hit single, “If I Were You.”

In support of the release of Every Man For Himself, Hoobastank will make a handful of national television appearances after its appearance at the Honda Grand Prix. As of March 20, they are set to perform on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (May 12), the syndicated Ellen DeGeneres Show (to air May 16), ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live (May 18), and NBC's Last Call with Carson Daly (to air May 25).
