2007 HONDA GRAND PRIX OF ST. PETERSBURG FACT SHEET
WHAT:
Now in its third year, the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg is one of the most popular annual events in the St. Petersburg/Tampa area and features world class auto racing, concerts, Drifting exhibitions and interactive family activities, all held over three days in St. Petersburg.

Friday, March 30 through Sunday, April 1, 2007.
IndyCar Series race starts at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 1
Indy Pro Series races on Saturday, March 31 at 2:45 p.m. and Sunday, April 1 at 11:30 a.m.
Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg, American Le Mans Series race starts at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 31
WHERE:
The race is run on a waterfront circuit that includes a combination of adjacent downtown streets circling Pioneer Park, the Bayfront Center and extending onto runways at Albert Whitted Airport that overlook the Bay and picturesque St. Petersburg Harbor and Marina.
CIRCUIT:
Temporary street circuit is 1.8 miles long and contains 14 turns.
TRACK FACTS:
As part of the program to build the track and infrastructure for the Honda Grand Prix of St Petersburg, the following materials will be incorporated:
* 20,000 feet of concrete block resulting in 20 million pounds of concrete
* 44,000 feet of fencing lining the track
* A front straight that is 2,350 feet or 4/10 of a mile long

RACES:
The IndyCar Series is the premier open-wheel series in the United States, competing on a challenging combination of superspeedways, short ovals, scenic road courses and temporary street circuits. In 2007 the IndyCar Series will conduct 16 events in the US and one in Japan. The IndyCar Series is the first racing series to power its Honda engines on 100 percent fuel-grade ethanol, a renewable and environmentally-friendly fuel. The IndyCar Series continues to the be the fastest and most competitive racing series, attracting a diverse lineup of drivers including Marco Andretti, Sam Hornish Jr., and Danica Patrick.
The Indy Pro Series is the premier ladder series for drivers and teams striving to compete in the IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis 500. Primarily run in conjunction with IndyCar Series, the Indy Pro Series' 16-race schedule features seven races on ovals and nine races on road courses/street circuits with teams competing for $3 million in prize money.
The American Le Mans Series will make its first appearance in the streets of St. Petersburg on March 31. It marks the first of three dates in which the Series will team with the IRL. Recognized as one of America's best street circuits and a premier event in American motorsports, St. Petersburg is sure to be a welcome addition to the American Le Mans Series schedule
CONCERT: The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and XM will join together to present a concert starring multi-platinum-selling rock group Yellowcard after the race, Sunday, April 1.
The IndyCar Series race begins Sunday, April 1 at 2:45 p.m., and Yellowcard will take the stage 30 minutes after the race, at approximately 5:15 p.m. The performance will be held in the Honda Plaza, located inside the race circuit adjacent to the Mahaffey Theater.
